Cutoffs, Percentages, Notes. Score Card Interpretation
In essence, you will have complete access to the scorecard from a variety of perspectives.
What’s the meaning of that, anyway? Whenever an evaluation is given by the NTA, it is presented on a specific percentile basis. That is how many students scored the same or less than you in that examination. This means, for instance, if your score is a 95 percentile, it implies during the last JEE score card release, there were 95 percent of the candidates that scored below you.
Why are cutoff scores crucial? because you have to pass these scores in order to move on the subsequent stages. There are two types of cutoffs, which NTA will publish next within those two classes of cutoffs.
- Qualifying Cut-off: Because a candidate has to achieve a specific percentile score in order to be eligible for JEE Advanced.
- Admission Cut-off: JoSAA publish these cutoffs after Session 2 during the JoSAA registration and prior to admission certain NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutions.
Here is a sample of expected JEE Main 2025 Session 11 projected category wise cut offs:
- General: 90 – 95
- OBC-NCL: 77 to 81
- SC: 58 – 62
- ST: 46 – 48
Cut off remains cut off and there is no limit to which approximation is set aside, reality can differ.
How do you Describe a 100 Percentile Score?
First of all, congratulations if your score is in the 100 percentile. The marks in session 11 will for sure make you a topper. So, thank you for taking the time and making the effort to work hard because this is definitely an accomplishment to take pride in.
